I am an artist with a heart for people and social themes inspired by the old saying, “Every person has a story to tell”. Through my work, my intention is always to express what is “behind the image” to capture the spirit and story that emotionally connects with viewers. Done in traditional oil painting method on stretched canvas and canvas paper, my works range from privately commissioned portraits, to gallery work, and illustrations.
I hold an MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City where I started my career, and have illustrated for several magazines and institutions such as The New Yorker and The United Nations. Several of my works have exhibited at AIGA Gallery, Visual Arts Gallery, New York Art Director’s Club, Visual Arts Museum, Art in General Gallery (international traveling exhibit with Randolph Street Gallery and Delta Axis) and more.
